Abstract

This work consists in a double analytical effort: definitional, on the one hand, regarding the unity of the Historical Sciences’ field; and propositive, on the other, seeking to demonstrate epistemic advantages for historiography when dimensioning its objects in Deep Historical Time and making interdisciplinary research in historical sciences (Historiography, Paleontology and Geology, among others) providing more detailed descriptions and new hypothesis for historical explanations. Such analysis is structured in three parts: (1) the definition of Historical Sciences; (2) the definition of Deep Historical Time and its receptions in these sciences; and (3) the study of three Historiographical situations which emphasize the interdisciplinarity with other historical sciences or at least the exploration of phenomena in the deep past.
