The debate between Hans-Georg Gadamer and Reinhart Koselleck about historical knowledge: tradition and objectivity

The article analyzes the debate among the historian Reinhart Koselleck and the philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer about historical knowledge. We traced the common origins of the thought of the two authors, located in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger, and the issues of common socio-intellectual where both produced their works. Secondly, we analyzed their different views and interpretations of historical knowledge and their vigorous debate.Downloads
